It is a bracket fixed to a wall or structural support that carries the cable tray and the cables inside it. The name describes the mounting method rather than the tray itself.
What is the size range?
Supports are made in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, 1000 mm to 3000 mm long, 150 mm to 2000 mm wide, 40 mm to 150 mm high and 1.2 mm to 3 mm thick, with a supply capacity of 1500 to 2000 metres per week.
How is support spacing decided?
Support spacing follows the load class of the tray and the weight of cable it carries. Share the cable schedule, tray width and span and we will confirm the spacing along with the quotation.
Are supports supplied in the same finish as the tray?
Yes. Supports are manufactured in the same material and finish as the tray run so there is no dissimilar metal contact and no weak point in the corrosion protection.
