Which finish should I specify?
Pre-galvanized to IS 277 suits indoor runs inside a covered building. Hot dip galvanized to IS 2629 and IS 4759 is the right choice outdoors, on rooftops and in open yards. Stainless steel is used where washdown or process chemistry rules out a galvanized surface, and powder coating is chosen mainly for appearance.
